WOW, Macybaby. That quilt is so cool. Did you have a pattern? I am sure it will be treasured for many years to come.

The rain hasn’t been much here but it seems that areas just 20 miles away are getting more than us and since that’s where the fires are, we’re thrilled. Might be getting more rain later this week, too.

I’ve been moving slowly but am almost done piecing a backing for a QAL from a couple of years ago on the Birthday candy swap page. I have one more section to sew and then attach to the larger piece and that’ll bring to four the number of quilts to be sandwiched. Tomorrow will be batting cutting day and maybe one or two might get spray basted. We’ll see. I’m pleased to be working on these. The Chinese Coin below is my first real quilt top, probably 2000’ish! Yes, it’s time to quilt it.
Janice, that is a beautiful quilt. I love the boarders and sashing between the rows. I am getting so many great ideas to use up scraps.

Thank you for sharing the video, I would love to make these blocks bigger for a quilt. Maybe 8-10 inch blocks to make a cute baby blanket.

Ltsew, love your finished batik quilt. It is beautiful!

Janice good news on the knee. I have been walking daily and it has been so hot and humid I have set the alarm so I can be out the door as early as possible. You have been my motivation

We went to lunch with Dh’s sister and said our goodbyes. Their son goes to the same church as us so we stay informed of each others activities until e see each other in the fall again

I have mentioned hubby’s brother Bob who is my age but had 2 strokes and now is battling dementia. He is in a care center close to his family home which is a good thing because he is acting out like a naughty 6 year old. It would be funny if not so sad. He has figured out away to brace himself in his wheelchair to block the entrance to his room and they have to call his wife who can talk him into moving. Sharon spends all afternoon and evening with him and this way he has her company in the morning also. Sounds pretty smart to me.

TG I have grown my hair out the last 2 yards but when I get overheated my first thought is this has to be cut. Now it’s long enough to twist up or friends French braid it. Not sure if I will ever get accustomed to heavy hair on my neck. Hang in their and give this hair cut a chance

Sewbiz it’s hard to believe little Ivy is 6 years old already. What a sweetie.

I wish it was mine, because it is so beautiful. Logcabin made this one. I do have a block in it though.

Good evening. Quick note to let WMUTeach know her package came in. My email is acting up for some unknown reason so I’m posting here.

Lstew, my Coin quilt was made with yardage but it can be made scrappy too. The border yardage had several repeating rows that I used for the border and between the coin stacks as well as in the stacks. It was an easy first quilt and the instructor taught us to miter corners. I learned how and haven’t done it since. Her name was Peggy and she wrote some quilt books later. Do you think I can remember her last name??? It’s driving me nuts tonight. Peggy Barkle! It just came to me. She wrote Blendable Curves. What a fun woman with tons of knowledge.

Glad my package arrived. Only one day later than promised sounds good to me! Tee-Hee-Hee! LC your quilt is so eye catching. I like the darker sashing. it sets off the blocks but does not over power them.

Granddaughter, trip planning, walks, clever video and so much supportive chatter. Love it!
