My favorite is a roast beef (made from a real roast brisket, no processed beef, no thin-slice, but juicy slabs) carmelized onions and melted cheddar and maybe mayo on a Jewish onion Kaiser roll (not the doughy kind with cornmeal on the bottom, but the light, airy kind we used to get from Jewish bakeries.
That said, I also love a good ham and Swiss on rye with lettuce, tomato and mayo, and for this one, processed boiled ham is fine.
And then there's chicken salad (made with celery, minced hard-boiled eggs, grapes and mayo) and lettuce on country white bread.
Mm, and a tuna melt...

It would have to be cold roast lamb and tomato on grain bread with butter. Next would be a chicken and salad with onion and mayo.
While I am talking about food would you like to let me know how you make Iced Tea, It isnt popular in Australia, you can buy it in bottles, but I would love to make some. I have tried to just let tea go cold but it doesnt seem right. By the way you are all so nice and helpful I can't wait to read this forum each day cheers to you all.

my favorite comfort sandwich, which can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner is grilled swiss cheese with bacon and tomato, mustard, and preferably, rye bread. My second favorite sandwich is PB and J, with my homemade dandelion jelly (second choice my mint jelly). And, I like either rice cakes (caramel flavor) or raisin bread for this. I am known to use fresh fruit in lieu of the jelly too, especially papaya and mango and banana
