I personally don't care for the ring. I think adding a couple of borders would finish it nicely.

The ring looks too tight to the tree, to me. I like the idea of picking up one or more of the colours in the border instead.

The tree is beautiful, what a nice job you've done! Can't wait to see it finished!

My thought also. If a ring is used, thinner and with more distance between tree and ring.

the ring looks good but I would have made it half the size as iIfeel it domonates the tree . But thats just me .I love the design.

I vote no ring. I like the clean way it looks without the ring and the details seem to stand out more.
