hmmmm....
I'm just trying to use code (in this case, turning "hmmm..." red) in the "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of the page.
Maybe code only works in a 'regular' reply vs 'quick'?.
I don't know if there is a way to preview a quick reply, so here goes, I'm hitting "Send". :))

Adding edit: It does work if you know the proper code

I discovered this, too! It was fun to play with the keyboard while holding down the ALT key! Never would have thought of it! Thanks so much!

The fractions are great when typing recipes or pattern directions. ALT+0188=1/4, ALT+0189=1/2, ALT+0190=3/4. I have a list of several others, but rarely use them with my sewing.

Thanks, I knew how to do it on my mac but not on my pc. ¢˚(on the mac you just type alt and $ at the same time for ¢ and alt and k at the same time for ˚. you learn something new every day!
