I am normally a sashing person, but that one is better without it if you want the look. I like the look that is so different from the first one. As one lady said, the effect of the sashing is that you have a bunch of leftover blocks that you want to make a quilt out of, (which is fine), but the second one is a whole different look. I like it.

Having made a few scrappies I prefer them with sashing and cornerstones as it helps to "fix" the size because of all the seams you get, but any choice you make will make a beautiful quilt with those blocks.

My vote is for NO sashing. Being so totally scrappy, sashing would stop the motion and movement across the quillt as you looked at it and interrupt the scrappy flow. You end up not seeing the scrappy quilt but a compilation of strip pieced blocks that just look like leftover blocks put together. IMHO
