You have to make sure your bobbin will work for your sewing machine. It doesn't work with my Viking so I couldn't use one.

I have the Sidewinder and I love it. It is great to be able to wind the bobbin without unthreading the machine. I also have the one with the telescoping thread holder that can hold larger spools and cones. Love them both.

I bought the Sidewinder yesterday from Beverly's fabrics with a 40% off coupon. The bobbins from my Pfaff and Janome Gem Gold fit just fine. Also the Singer bobbins I use in the Janome fit well. I use mainly cones and put those on my cone holder to wind the bobbins with no trouble at all. So far I love it. I think it will be a real time saver!

JoAnn's is about $24.00 then take 40% off. Walmart's is about $19 to 24

I have a Sidewinder & never use it anymore. I find it doesn't wind the bobbin tight enough & even then it's only half full. I'll be glad to sell it to you-cheap, just PM me-Joyce

Stef, the new deluxe one is available at Joann's but the original one might wind your bobbins and it is a lot cheaper. If you can I would try out your bobbins on someone else's sidewinder first. Then you can be sure if it works before you decide which one to get.

Right now at our Joann's the deluxe is on sale for 10% off which seems to me a tactic to simply prevent people from using their coupons on it.

No, I don't use one. I can wind my bobbin while I'm sewing (have the Brother 4500 D and the Babylock Ellegante)
