The pot holder is made this way= cut 2 fabrics and 1 batting in a 8 1/2" circle. layer to fabrics right sides together and batting on top.sew all around 1/4" from edge leave 1" or more to turn right side out. turn right side out.Sew 1/8" seem around outside edge to catch the opening. sew around in the middle about 1" from edge. then sew another seam inside of that one about 1/2" smaller. Now you should have a circle with 2 sewn smaller circles centered in it.between the 2 centered circles cut a small slit. thread a 1/4" wide piece of elastic through it. pull the elastic to gather up the fabric and tie a knot cut extra elastic off. work knot into potholder. It should now look like a shower cap or a old fashion nightcap. Your done. These fit over the handle on the lid of a crockpot. It is also reversable. Any problems just pm me. Mary

These pot holders are a quick gift and almost everyone has a crockpot.Be sure to tell what they are when you give one to someone. Until they know what it is most can't figure it out.LOL then they say OHHH! I can really use one. Mary

Mary, when I make something "unique," I always provide an explanation! I've made some strange things obviously. LOL! I'm going to try this and if I get stuck, I'll hunt for you. Thanks for the explanation. See, like you, I thought this would be useful and practical, AND I doubt people already have one. Thanks, Sarah
