Great quilts and ornaments. The same thing happened to me last year when I gifted a neice and nephew quilts for their weddings. I realize we all have busy lives and most younger people didn't grow up doing thank you cards so I don't expect that. I do agree a phone call or even an e-mail would have been nice.
I just chalk it up and keep quilting for those who like what I do.

Take pride in your job well done and gift freely. It will come back to you - but maybe not from your family.

If the gifts go unacknowledged, NO MORE GIFTS. I have one niece like that and her siblings still get gifts from us, but not her. She knows why.
You gave of yourself, you are the better for it as is the world. Thank you for making the world a better place.

they need their bottoms kicking. Having said that I have 2 young people and they WILL NOT write thank you letters. I have to get on my knees to beg them. Having said that the quilts are bound to have touched their hearts as they are lovely!

I think both are fantastic. In the future I would send a nice card and a pack of coupons from McDonalds or Burger King with a note that you hope they enjoy every one. :o) Never Never piss off a quilter :o)

I am sorry you are hurt, it isn't very nice of them not to at least acknowledge the receipt of them. I tell you what, I love the purple one and my DH likes the other so, we would have appreciated them....I agree with the others. No more hand made gifts for that family, in fact, I don't know if I would give them any kind...
