I'm with the 'close enough' group ... and I'd use it for that quilt for that friend ... not only is it funny but it's a genuinely sweet thought - she WILL love it, and love you for it - I hope you go for it .... be sure to let us see it ... and tell us what she says.
I'm really sorry to hear of her horrible illness.
BTW - skinny/sick people get very cold, so put a good batting in it - as an Oregonian (living in the southland) - I can attest to the need for a good warm batting.

I could not use it is a quilt, I confiscated too many tee shirts from my kids to to be able to get away with it. I can just hear them now throwing my words back in my face..."Mom... if you're not smoking it then why are you walking around advertising it as if you do?" I'm proud to say that all that nagging paid off and my kids did not turn out to be drug addicts!

oh i'm going to go for it, i'm just waiting for that fantastic idea to pop into my head! i can see rainbows, happy faces, munchie food, peace signs, garden tools to grow it with, maybe some ladybugs or butterflies? i know she likes pixies as well. it's going to be a couple of weeks before the fabric is in for me,so i've got some time to think about this. i want it to be fabulous and not just a jumbled mess of confusion. as a new quilter it's going to be difficult enough, but i want this to be as unique as she is, yet all flow together....i want the 'ooo and ahhh not the OMG what IS that!!' :) yup, she's always chilly, you said southland? she lives in Medford :) any ideas you have please toss them my way in a PM. thanks so much!!
hugs, t
