One fabric site actually called this batik pattern "cannabis" which refers to the Asiatic plant "cannibis sativa" of the hemp family.
Marijuana, hashish, etc., are made from the leaves and flowers of this plant. Hemp is also grown for the strong fiber found its stem.

i have mine too, and they work really well when i get a needle (sewing, thought given this thread i should be specific!) stuck in my machine.. they grip nice & tight... which is why we had them 30 years ago in the first place!

I could not tell the difference between a buckeye leaf and a marijuana leaf.

Not meaning to be an expert, but some marijuana plants have 7 and some even 9. Been told the number is always odd and the larger the number, the more potent the product.

I think they are. Did not realize what they looked like until I went to Vegas with some friends a couple years ago. Saw this beautiful purple lighter and bought it and then my friend ask do you know what the silver leaf is on the lighter? I said no. They said its a marjuana leave. Oh well!!!
