I am the grandma of two boys & one girl. She is 8 yrs old and so interested in learning to sew. I am teaching her some fun basic projects & know it will be a life-long enjoyment for her. So far we have made several pieced Scotty Dog pillows which she gives as gifts to her cousins. Now we are on to Halloween mini-treat bags for her school friends. I am having so much fun with her. Unfortunately, her mother was not a fan of sewing. Maybe I was just too busy working then to have the time or patience. Grand children are our second chance to enjoy the little ones especially now in retirement.

I have 13....3 of them are boys. Scattered in 5 different states...Ohio, New York, Alabama, Kentucky and Florida. At least they are not TOO far away, and we travel all the time to see each of them. The families also visit us here in Alabama several times during the year. What fun!! We are going to Ohio for Halloween and several are coming down to AL for Thanksgiving. You should see my food bill..!!

Three granddaughters. Mylie 5, Gemma just about 3 and Taya 19 days. When I want to shop for fabric with the girls, I put a bolt of animal fabric on the cart and it keeps them busy looking at the animals. Mylie thinks she should get a quilt just about every time she visits.

I have one Grandson who just turned three and he is the "light" of my life!

Truly, it's like having all the "good" times of parenting without the bad times (kid crabby, kid has nausea, kid won't sleep, kid gets sick when something important is going on in your life, etc.)

The only downside is that my little guy is far away and I only get to see him monthly if I'm lucky.

I have 6. Four boys and two girls, ranging from 23 down to 11 months. Two of them, 14 year old Ellie and 12 year old James are visiting for the day tomorrow, and I will be going down to my daughters all next week where the two youngest live. Libby is 3 and Jake is 11 months.I will need to spend the next day in bed me thinks.

Just wondered how many Grandparents are out there. Aren't Grandkids the greatest!

I have always made time to sew but I never really made very many quilts until I retired 4 years ago. I have 4 grandchildren.

I was widowed and remarried later. We have 6 adult children and 13 grandchildren ranging in age from 23 to 8. Seven guys and six gals. They live all over the country. Sad to say we only see one 11 year old girl . Love cheering at her horse shows.
