I enjoy the buying part too, and sometimes I feel guilty about the $$, but it will never compare to the Harley, the two boats and two scooters that hubs has!

Jacie, I am so sorry for you. A normal thief wouldn't even walk into most sewing rooms. Did you or the police ever get a clue as to who may have robbed you? That's almost fabric rape!

Put very specific instructions in your will about who gets first dibs, who's second.......... and how to dispose of what's left. My DH (in this case, D is not for dear) will light a match ot my sewing room. I know. He burned tons of stuff of his dad's, including about a bushel of old ties that he wouldn't let me rescue.

I have about 2000 yds and I have to use it before I can SHOP for more. I have a lot that I liked when I bought it that I do not like now. Guess I have to do some stash blasting.

I not only have a good stash of fabric of my own, I inherited my mother's when she died of cancer. Even with all the fabric, I find myself needing another piece to finish the project I am currently working on. I hadn't estimated how long I needed to live to use this, but I am looking forward to my first trip to Batesville, Arkansas, and Marshall's Dry Goods. Oh well, some people choose to drink or smoke. I choose to buy fabric. Could be worse.

I have lots of fabric now, most of it was all given to me from people on the board and from a site called kijiji http://calgary.kijiji.ca/ I can't say NO to fabric ever. I love it so much. I store it all in 68L totes for now until we buy a house, which will need to have a big sized sewing room for me. yay!
