Great blocks, Lstew! That one for Terri is extra cool....

We had a tornado hit in our little rural community yesterday. Here, we just got tons of wind and rain but everything at our place seems to be ok. The tornado hit just up the highway from us... maybe a mile, mile and a half. It really tore some things up. There are so many big, old trees either uprooted or snapped off in the middle. Lots of damage. We have been without water since yesterday. A limb that fell penetrated the ground and went right though a 6" diameter water pipe~! With all the debris, they didn't find it for a while. Now it's fixed and the water is finally flowing, but we need to boil it for several days. Thank goodness no one was hurt by the tornado.

Nearby in Jackson MS there was much tornado damage too. Bricks were torn off of buildings, burying the cars parked below! Never seen anything like it. Just a freak storm...

The same system is rolling through here today. We've had one tornado in Monroe and another one just east of us. Took some apple trees out by the roots about 1/4 mile from my house. Lots of limbs down but so far I haven't heard of anyone hurt. It's pouring raining again now. We are totally saturated. Lots of people without power. I guess I lucked out, I didn't lose power and just have lots of downed limbs.
Everybody stay as safe as possible.

Glad to hear you ladies are safe. My mother in GA lost three big trees in the heavy winds. Doesn't look like a tornado, just a down burst.

We are headed to an auction. Wish me luck in finding some good treasures

I actually got the Peaches, so I made a basket of peaches. Perfect for me as I am originally from Ga and My husband calls me his GA Peach.

Glad everyone is safe from the storm. That gets really frightening!
Hope everyone has a Happy Easter. I'm going to my sons and spend time with him and my grandson. I'm cooking at his place. We can dirty his kitchen instead of mine.

Happy Easter, Everybody! I'm going to church very early in the morning to help cook 8 am breakfast for an expected 250+ people. Wish me luck. I may never eat scrambled eggs again after tomorrow. LOL Stay safe if you're traveling.
