    I would go with the first one, it doesnt take away from the bargello.

    I like the simple double border the best. Lovely quilt!

    I like to frame my quilts with a dark border to hold them in....your work is beautiful...

    I like the first one.....simple and puts the focus on the detail of your bargello work. Simply stunning! Great job!

    My vote is the first one. It sets off the bargello. I really like the dk green fabric.

    I also sent the pictures to my sister, my niece's mother. Before she was a teacher and principal, she was an art major... but more importantly, she knows what her daughter likes.

    She picked the thin dark green, bargello pieces with a wider dark green border. But she thought it was important to match the bargello pieces to the actual quilt.

    I have the small dark green border and two of the bargello strips on. The larger green border is just setting next to it.

    What do you think?

    I Love the way you decided to do it.....It's gorgeous!!! I'm getting ready to do a bargello and like this border so much, I'm thinking I may do it with mine!!! Be sure to post when completely finished.....PLEASE

    I like the first too! Keep it simple as the main part is complex and where you want your eyes to travel to and be framed! Nice work!
