Fabulous colours! That will be one striking quilt. I'm already regretting not going with one fabric per colour.

    Great fabrics, petthefabric!

I decided to go with one set of fabrics for each unit, and I got my strips cut. I pulled out my stripology ruler, and it did help speed things up.

    Lovely units, kristijoy!

Kristijoy, your units are so pretty. I was going to drop out my lighter shades of fabric colors in all my colors, but I like your variety, so, I will keep them in like I had originally planned. Thank-you for the pic.

I enjoy seeing all the fabric color selection pics. Keep the pic coming.

i didn’t get much done so far. I needed to definitely decide on my aqua fabrics and wash them. I decided to add a few more pieces and just go with variety in the same hue. I took a few pieces from last years scraps and fg’s from my stash. So tonight is calculating how many strips I need per each color and tomorrow I will cut them all out and begin sewing. Happy sewing everyone.

Kristijoy: I love your units. It is great seeing that the various tints and shades within the color groups play well together.

Joe’smom: it will be fun seeing how your units develop with different fabrics each week. Can’t wait!

Thanks everyone! I raided my scrap box. I'm not sure how long the scrap box will hold out...I might have to make a trip to the store! LOL!

Kristi: I realized as I was cutting strips today that I am not very good at “stash busting.” I semi-panic if I get close to the end of a fabric and start to think that I need to head to the store to replace it. For some reason, spreading each fabric over many projects makes me happy. It calls back memories of working on other quilts, especially Bonnie quilts.
