So, back in July I posted that I had too much. Well... I heard that cotton prices were on the rise again and that fabric costs were going to skyrocket, so over the last month or so, I have added about 400 more yards to my stash. I had to get 100 more fabric organizers and another bookshelf to accomodate all my new fabric.

I find that if I don't use a piece of fabric right away, I become to attached to it to actually use it in a quilt and then I have to buy more that I can use in its place.

Well, over the weekend I liberated myself. I got rid of all the old polyester fabrics I had stashed in a closet. Boy do I feel good to not have that stuff laying around anymore. I donated it to our Christian Mission and hope someone else can use it. Also, my son is home from Iraq for 2 weeks and he cleaned out my pantry in the kitchen for me. He tossed stuff I didn't even remember buying and now I have oodles of room in my pantry. He also bought me a new refrigerator. Man is it a honey and so is he. Today, somehow, I don't feel so overwhelmed with "stuff" as I did. Getting rid of fabric you'll never use is a good feeling.
