I get lots of CD audio books from the library...free!
I turn them on and listen while I am working on my quilts.
My hands don't have to hold the books!
There is nothing like having Hilary Clinton reading you her life story...right there in your sewing room!
....and dramatised chillers and thrillers make the time go fast like magic.
The best are funny audio books written about ladies and their various adventures....j

For all Stephanie Plum lovers----did you know there will be a movie in the summer? Number one. You can search on line to read about the cast and all. DD insists I have to visit her to go see it with her!
I love these books as well - my characters would be:

Sandra Bullock as Stephanie
The Rock "Dewayne Johnson' as Ranger
Queen Latifa as LuLu
Marian Ross as Ms. Plum
Estella Getty (if she were still alive) as Grandma Mazure
Danny Devito as Vinny
Jake Gyllenhaal as Marino

Wished I could pick the cast...this would be a great series movies....and downright funny.

I just finished Tanya Huff's Blood series. They based the TV series Blood Ties on her books. They are quick reads but fun. Starting Sue Grafton's U is for Undertow next. I love her books. I've got all of Kathy Reich's Bones series after that and then........

The Golden Spruce - all true - - has adventure, history, science - all about a tree with no chlorophyll (SP?) that should not have been able to grow at all. Fascinating!

currently I am reading world without end and will read the next one, fall of giants. The next one on my list is The Book Thief. I have read water for elephants and really enjoyed it. I also have Barney's version on my pile and want to read that quickly before I see the movie.

Pamesue, I agree with your picks for the Stephanie Plum series, but Hollywood didn't. The movie comes out soon. Here is a link that gives casting info.
