You take care of your precious baby and yourself. That always comes first.

Okay..I got some of my F8's in the mail today from:

    ReRe, Reneebobby, Jetnica, Tink121272, Hoppyfrog & Oatw13.

It was pretty funny because my daughter called me at work and said that I'm a pretty popular girl today. I asked her why? And she said because you got 6 envelopes in the mail today. So I asked her if they felt squishy? And she said "Yes". I was so excited to get home and see the fabric's.

    Thank you ladies!!!

I used a regular business-size (#10) envelope for the F8's to go out. When I completed blocks, I used 6x9 manilla envelopes as there is more room and they seem to be a bit more durable. Those seams can make the #10 envie's too bulky to go at the cheaper rate, and, obviously, some mail equipment can really tear them up. I don't know if that's what happened to my block from Colletta (which I WILL open tonight and post so you can see), but it's as good a guess as any.

Also, I put my F8's into a regular sandwich-size zippy bag, and put the completed blocks into a quart-size zippy bag. I am hoping that this helps to protect them from machines, etc., and that they arrive at their destination in good shape. I will continue that practice for 2.0.

Thank you for all of your info. Much appreciated!!!

CJT-I sure hope the little one is better and your family always comes first-we will all be here. All of my completed blocks are now on their way home so everyone should be receiving them soon. Please let me know :-)

Also to everyone who is in Round 2.0 please make sure you are posting on the 2.0 board not on here as this one will be locked once all of the completed blocks are home for round one :-)
    Hugs

Mailing out the last 7 blocks for 1.0 in today's mail. My local post office is so happy ... it seems I'm keeping them all employed!

Now to start opening the envies for 2.0! Thanks, April, this sure is fun!!!

I promised photos of the mail I got from Colletta last week. Here it is; but I warn you all, some of these images are a bit disturbing:

[edited to remove return addy info from "prowling eyes" -- sorry, Colletta! didn't mean to throw you under that bus!]

    The inner zippy bag ...

    LOOOOOOOOK at the holes!

    How it arrived ...

The original (now "inner") envelope ...

I guess the machine was hungry ...

The completed block ... a little crinkled, but altogether fine nonetheless! Thanks Colletta!

Here's the REALLY scary part. Can you read this? It says "WE CARE". How funny is that???
