I don't do any embroidery but it looks like the image was imported to an embroidery machine, and then the satin stitch (and letters) were programmed to outline the fabric pieces that had been already applied (maybe fused) to the shirt. That's why they look so perfect. ;-)
Also, most machines have a max width of 5-5.5mm when it comes to a ss stitch. That looks wayyyy wider - like the high-end $$$ machines. But a less expensive (not cheap) embroidery machine could do the same thing.
So post in the Main forum, and hopefully we'll all learn some new things. ;-)
