I got a really nice small oval quilting hoop, about 18" long, about a month ago at a free swap place. I know it was small because I also got a large one,24", the size I usually hand quilt on. I thought, GREAT, this will be perfect for wall quilts.
So I got a customer's wall quilt that I need to quilt, do you think I can find that small hoop? NO - I tore apart the sewing room, found I have FOUR large oval hoops and 3 round ones, no sign of the one I want. Looked under and behind all the furniture, looked everywhere I could think of. We are talking about a 4 room, 700 sq. ft. house, not like there are a lot of places it could hide.

I am convinced that Emily, our resident spirit, is hiding it on me. She is rather mischievous.
Don't it!Drive you Nuts! I 'Lost' a piece of fabric I was making clothes for the little kids next door, never found it! THAT is til about a Week ago! I needed it 2 months ago!!

My husband asked me if I would like to move to have a bigger sewing room. I looked at him as if he was crazy. I have a sewing "nook" and still manage to loose things. I can't imagine boxing up all my stuff and moving it to a new location. I know I would go crazy looking for my things later. Now if he offered to get me a long arm machine to go in the new house. I'm out of here!

I lose stuff all the time. Some times I have my husband look and he can find it.

I've considered that - but I don't want him going through "all" my sewing stuff!

I had the strongest feeling that it's under your couch. Now, I am no psychic nor have I ever been right about things like this before, just had to tell you what I sensed.

OK, I am just desperate enough to look.

One thing about losing something, you get to see how much dust there is in all the nooks and crannies in your house.

If it's not under the coach, try standing on a stool and looking. For some reason looking from a different viewpoint helps me locate stuff.

Was it under the couch? Now you have me curious as to where you found it!
