Oh, quilting comes before everything here....particularly housework!! Okay, honesty huh...a lot of quilting goes on, but the necessary stuff gets done too, just not always first. I do have to admit y decorations are down, and I have been sewing ever since I boxed them all up. Feels great!

I quilted instead of putting them up in the first place.

Not quilting, but some stitching I promised my daughter. I still have some friends that wanted to see my tree and haven't been by, so that is my excuse! I'm going to enjoy the decorations for a few more days

I certainly thought about it but that is as far as I got. After DH painted the BR and Bath this past week it needed curtains and night stand toppers. Then there was the dog bed to finish and DD is working on her fourth quilt sooooooooo......... decs will have to be put away at night when I get home from work this week.

I was disciplined this time around. All the Christmas decor, tree etc came down and got packed away yesterday. Today I had to work. Tomorrow I am off, but going to work on business taxes so I'm ready for that appointment with the tax man. Then I have a quilting class to organize that I'll be teaching later this month. THEN I will get to quilting! I'm also designing two quilts for patterns to sell. So I'm in the quilting realm, just not sewing ----- yet.

I got my Christmas decorations down on Saturday and put away. Spent most of Sunday and Monday sewing. It was wonderful.

I'm not quite sure when ppl started putting decorations up so early, when I was growing up they came out when the tree came in, which was only a week at most before Christmas..and then we left them up until the tree absolutely had to go out. We still follow that timeline now, even with artificial trees the decorations go up the week before Christmas and then we usually leave them up through most of January - it is such a bleak, grey month the decorations and lights cheer things up....

I didn't quilt today but I did clean, oil and mess around with my new vintage teal blue machine!

I had to return to school today as a teacher work day. Drats! I would have loved to sew. Now I'm too tired.
