I got the comic book boards now what?

Hey another update on my progress. I found some wonderful shelving at Bed Bath and Beyond. It's 13.75" x 13.75" and 56" tall with a total of six shelves. The only problem is the shelves are 9.5" tall and I'm going to have to shave a little off the boards or lay them on their side. Oh and as for how much can be rolled on the boards; I did one with 8 yards - yes it's fairly thick but I wanted to record the yardage.

I am in the "process" also...I have some of the corrugated plastic boards and comic boards. I use the plastic for the larger cuts of fabric. I got fairly decent tall book shelves at target that are working great. I have been storing by color and the smaller amount gets laid flat on the shelves that are not tall enough. Still can see them great and it sure beats digging thru boxes!

I just had to clean out my sewing room for visiting grandson. I put all my fabric in boxes. Other than looking nice what is the difference of space saved using a board instead of just laying flat? What is the minimum you can put on a board? I'm trying to decide if I have enough shelf space to wrap fabric.
As to how much - I've wrapped a maximum of 5 yards on two boards (only a maximum because my yardage isn't longer) and I've wrapped as little as 1/2 yard. I use flower head pins to keep the ends attached.
