I guess you will have withdrawal pains in the next few hours.
    Sending hugs for you.

So very sorry for your loss, but glad to see you still have your sense of humor.

Oh dear, sorry to hear of your poor machine accident. It's always harder to forgive ourselves than others. I hope you are sewing again soon.

I too live in the Kansas City area, and have shopped at Missouri Sewing Machine Company many times. They sell both new and re-conditioned machines ( trade in's ) and I have always found them to be very good with their prices!! I shop the store near the new Kaufman Center for the preforming arts building.....the neighborhood is a little scarey so I usualy take a friend!! Good luck......I sew/peice/quilt with a Brother 1500. New about 900 but you could find one taken in on trade for maybe half that amount. She only sews a straight stich but with almost 10 inches of throat space, she is a dream to free motion with!!

I sure hope you have some kind of little backup machine to use in the meantime. If not, maybe you can pick up an inexpensive older machine at a yardsale or on Craigslist to use. I'd hate to think you can't do any quilting at all. If I were close I'd loan you my backup machine...So sorry this happened. Good luck!

Ouch!!! I hope you can either get it back in working condition or you're able to get another one, even if it's an older model - if it works, then you'll be back in business. Good luck! and much sympathy for your loss. ps - did you happen to have a stash of chocolate to help you at this sad time of your life?

Me, too... but I'm laughing with you & not at you. At least you can make light of it to a degree. If it were my little Featherweight, I'd have to be tranquilized! I'm sorry your machine took a tumble. Maybe it was fate? The gods telling you it was time for a new machine?
