Joe, I have a question for you. The White Rotary machine I bought was made in 1911. The book that came with it is for a model R40 White rotary electric sewing machine. Any sugestions on what to look for for a manual? Thanks[ATTACH=CONFIG]383782[/ATTACH]

That's a nice machine. I've seen a bunch of them on GW recently, but haven't gone for one.
Just as a thought your machine is a rotary, so the manual you have will most likely work for it even if it is a treadle.
The head is not different, only the method of powering it.
I really don't know where to look for White manuals though.
You could try Relics { http://www.tias.com/stores/relics/ }
or ISMACS, I don't have their link handy.
That's about all I can think of right now.

I found a 7 drawer right here in my little community. I has a beat 66 head and a few chips in the laminate on the section that holds the head. You know, when the top is opened to the left, there are a few chips on the furthest right hand edge just to the right of the metal belt thingy...they want 350. what ya think?

I agree with everything Joe said. You can even buy the class 66 bobbins at walmart, but if you can find the vintage metal ones they're better. These are fantastic machines that will sew you a great stitch once you get her up and running. You found a really beautiful one at that! Out of the more than 75 machines I own, I don't have a red eye or a sphinx.

350.00 that is crazy...I have one in in the cabinet that is in very good condition....if they start getting 350.00 than I will be selling mine...since I have two... ; ) I only paid 75.00 for one and the other was free.
