Here is one that I threw together from old blue jeans. This is on a queen size bed, so it turned out to be pretty heavy. No batting, and flannel sheet was used for the backing. It has been used on the beach, for covering furniture when moving, and laying on the grass in the park.

It is pretty indestructible. I keep it in my trunk now. I would say it is about 10 yrs old now. I just take it to the laundromat and throw it in one of the bigger washing machines when it gets dirty.

Don't have any pix but helped a girl start one w/different colors of denim. Some new pieces and some old jeans. Each piece has a crocheted doily of various small to medium sizes and mostly white or off white. We got quite a few done but she broke up with my son and left it behind. It's really cute and I have been tempted to just finish it as a rag quilt. You know, in my spare time...only been 20 years!

I like that! I've got the jeans- now just need to find the pattern. Thanks for showing that one with circles. All of them have been pretty- but that one with the red insides really caught my eye.
