If only that would work for paying taxes, getting large auto repairs done, paying off medical bills....

I use my iPod or hubby's iPad. I put on a movie or tv show, turn it face down so the room is dark, and listen until I fall asleep. There's enough to listen to that my brain is able to tune out all the things that make me anxious and sleepless, and I can relax enough to sleep. The occasional Benedryl doesn't hurt either.

Hi streator il. I understand. I do my best work at 2 in the a.m. It is makes me happy to climb back into bed after a bit of sewing in the wee hours. I guess instead of counting sheep we count fat quarters or blocks. It is all good.

Yes, I understand that you cannot always do things ..... what one has to do though is to allow yourself to set it aside for the night. If you keep thinking or worrying about it, you only stay awake. The outcome isn't going to change. So just let it go for the night, and give yourself permission that it can be put on hold for the night.

I count from 100 by threes works great, specially when I have to go to bed at 8pm so I can get up at 3am to go to work
