We have made totes using pet screen found at Walmart. It sews very easily, doesn't hurt if it gets wet. There are free patterns for these if you check out the internet. You can sew it just like a tote & attach fabric to it.

Very interesting! Thanks for the site. I have never heard of this before. Too bad this was not around when my two were babies 37 & 40 years ago, I would definitely have made some diapers, instead of using Pampers. Neither of my two ever wore a cloth diaper, and this would have been so cool to keep for the second one. I will just have to look for it in the store just to see what it looks like.

My first thought was oil-cloth, that's slick and reminds me of the old picnic table cloths. I think its pretty thick fabric though. PUL comes in some really cute designs. I was looking 3 years ago to make diapers for #2 grand-baby, all Jo-Ann had was plain white. They have more selections now.
