Super up cycle on the jeans. Love how you kept the integrity of the jeans. Lots of character there!!! It's fantastic.

I suggest stitching in the ditch and using a 90/40 size needle. My Brother machine did very nicely through this material.

The other side is fleece and you don't need any batting because the material is so warm and heavy on it's own.

Great quilt! I made a jeans quilt for my son and threw in a few blocks of plaid flannel her and there for color. Then I put a flannel backing and a poly batt in it and used my mom's long arm to quilt it for him. My son is a long haul truck driver and he has it in the truck. He loves it. It takes a beating from the truck and is warm, too.

The one I did, I felt no need for quilting. In fact I did mine just as a throw with no backing either.

Did you use a regular sewing machine on this, I found it to be too bulky on machine to sew. I did use a jeans needle and a tool to lift if up but I'm wondering if I used a walking foot if that would be easier? I love the idea of jean quits they do last forever!

Great, I always leave the pockets and labels on, I also make the rag quilts using the jeans.
