Unless your terrier is really old and infirm, or has a medical issue, it may be time for some new crate training. Vet check first, then training if warranted. Get rid of the issue and you won't need bandaid fixes, eh?

If it is really old and infirm, why not just use pampers?

Sewing thru sticky velcro is hard- it ain't happening. If you must sew velcro - get the sew-on kind, it works and doesn't gum up your needles.

So sorry your baby is having this problem...my little old lady maltese has the same problem, but it's related to spinal/neurological deficits. Meds do help. Good luck both with your little guy and your Velcro!

The sticky back Velcro is NOT for fabrics....that's why it doesn't stick to it for long. It's for use on hard surfaces....sticking one hard surfaced object to another hard surfaced object when you want it to be removable. Example...softer loop side stuck to a dry erase marker, hook side stuck to the board. Some stores sell the hook (or loop) sides of sticky & sew-on separately. For example, if you want to use Velcro to attach a skirt to a vanity table....you'd buy the sticky back hook side & stick it to the table. And sew the sew-on loop side to the skirt.

Try some fabric glue....maybe that will save some frustration.

Daughter had a female Weim with same problem, vet prescribed Proin, chewable. No side effects was on for ten years....might even be OTC by now. Pet smart.......good luck......
