I don't know anything about this particular machine. But I wanted to say hi from Germany as well. Just wondering how close we might be to each other? You have given your wife a wonderful gift! I am sure that she will learn tons from the board. I only started 2.5 years ago and I'm having a great time! Everyone here is very helpful. Thank you for being so wonderful by encouraging your wife's hobby and welcome to the board!

I own 6 machines and that one is my favorite. Good choice!
Question: Will your wife be sewing AND quilting her quilts on this machine?
There is a Yahoo group for owners of the 1500, I recommend joining.

She currently does all of the cutting and stitching on her own and has to pay a lady to do the actual quilting as her machine is too small. I've learned the term "FMQ" on here and hope that she can give it a go with this machine =)
Tanya,
K-town area for us...not too far at all

Hi Ryan! Welcome to the QB from Summerville, SC. What a wonderful Christmas gift for your wife! I'm sure she will be so happy when she gets it!! I don't have a Brother, so can't help with the machine. We were stationed in Wiesbaden in the late 60's so know what it is to be away from home. Thank you for your service to our Country and for you dear wife's support of you. May God watch over y'all and bless you and keep you...

I don't know anything about this machine but from what others have said it sounds great. It is so kind of you to do this for her and to go to all the effort you have on research. I am sure she will be thrilled. Thanks you for your service and all the best to your family. I hope you and your wife will continue to participate in this board. Merry Christmas, Ryan!
