Love it! It reminds me of a cross-stitch design. I'd love to see a picture of the whole quilt at once, just to get the feel for the whole thing.

What a beautiful quilt and a treasure for you. It's too bad you can't get a whole picture of it as someone might be able to identify the pattern. It's very special.

This looks like an Anne Orr design. Google her for some samples of her mosaic designs and information about her style. Here is a similar quilt from Ebay:

    You have a real treasure

Very pretty and feminine. I have never seen the pattern before. If you ever can get it appraised, I would to be able to find out the date of the fabrics and maybe the name of the pattern.

More on Anne Orr - I haven't seen many, but all of the pictures that I have seen of her cross-stitch mosaic designs such as yours were done in solid colors, so yours is typical. Your quilt does not have a lot of different colors, but some of them have more. She was first known for her needlework patterns, including counted cross-stitch, and you can see the resemblance.

Anne Orr wrote for ladies magazines and was one of the judges at the famous Sears quilt contest in 1933.

Besides the mosaic style, she is well remembered for her applique designs.

I agree, get it appraised. No matter what it appraises for, it is priceless. It is so nice that you are a quilter and understands that you have a treasure.

That is beautiful. The poor lady certainly had challenges in her life. How wonderful you can treasure it in her memory.
