Thanks so much Eddie for sharing your pics and the tute, I thought the name plate for your wife was gorgeous and so thoughtful, I have bookmarked it of course and know what my childrens' teachers will be receiving for X-mas this year. Better get to sewing.

Thanks! I believe I will use this technique on a quilt I am making for a guild challenge. Did you cut your 3/8 strips on the straight of grain or on the bias?

I cut them on the grain. Be sure to show us pics of your quilt! :)
