Eddie,
A couple questions about your wonderful tute. When you
attached the name to the background did you place and
stitch as you go, or did you pin it down entirely and then
stitch. And are the letters one fabric thickness or more?

I just placed the muslin as I went, no pins. And it's just one thickness of muslin, although you could double it if you wanted it to be even fluffier.
