    One of the reasons I now soak all my fabrics in hot water for a couple of hours. ( like colors together, of course - in case one wants to share its dye)

    Every once in a while I get a bleeder.

    Hope you can the problem taken care of.

    Yes. I would only add to use the biggest *front loader* at the laundromat (easier on the quilt). You may have to wash more than once to get it all out. Synthrapol is widely available online and from quilt shops that cater to home dyers. Here is a link to it on Amazon:

    (It does not need to be Jacquard brand. There are different brands available -- all good.)

    It doesn't matter that the quilt has been through the dryer. Most commercial dyes these days are not permanently set by the amount of heat generated in a dryer.

    I am smiling again. I took the quilt that had a washer the size of 5 loads. I saturated the run in oxy clean stain remover, and used clorox 2 and 2 tide pods. It took two more washing, but it is now good to go. I was one emotional mama the other day. Thanks for all the advice
