Good luck with making the boy quilt as cute as you did with the Shortcake quilt. I would put it away. She may have a girl the next time.

Super cute! I agree - save it for a (hopefully) future baby girl.
I think the quilt looks perfect for a little girl (on my computer the 2nd fabric reads as a light green that matches the green in the border print), but one thing I've done when I wanted to add a little bit more is some thread painting. You could go over the blendable fabrics with a darker green or variegated red thread.

It's not a bad thing to have a quilt in the wings ready for the next little girl. It is a sweet one.

I think that it is Cute! Looks good to me! Maybe you could have bound it in pink to make it pop! I think the "green" and pink look together. they seem like different values. Moral to this story is that you should not always choose colors that match. You could save this quit or donate it to church/school for raffle, try to sell it here on the board or just donate it to a needy child. Save it? you can always make another one for her next baby!

Too bad there isn't a Strawberry Shortcake counterpart for a boy, like Raggedy Andy. My DD loved Strawberry Shortcake, and with the help of a friend, she redesigned the Raggedy Ann pattern with the big hat, hair, etc. with Strawberry Shortcake fabric for her dress. I do like your quilt though, as I think it's cute.
