Daylight Saving Time doesn't help either.

I also have a three time limit. If it doesn't go well after three times then I will just have to like it. I sew almost every day/evening and find everything is to be a lot easier and faster without so many mistakes.

Well, I got it done ... but I screwed it up the second time too!!!!! I had the backing facing the wrong way ...

So I ended up cutting the seams not ONCE, but TWICE LOL ... Ah well, it's only for me anyway ... I can't put up a pic right now since I'm at work, but I did a disappearing 9-patch with my fabric from New Orleans ... I think it looks great LOL Now I just have to quilt it together!!!!

I made a table runner for a Christmas gift and had to take it apart because the batting was on the outside. When I put it together the going the way it didn't fit the point were in the wrong direction. I set it aside and made her potholders. Maybe some day I'll finish it. Another UFO in my stash.

If you have a wide border on the quilt and since you are birthing it and its not an heirloom, I think would take my scissors and trim at the stitch line. All this if you do not have a pieced border. Losing 1/2"-1" total is no great loss. Lazy me speaking!!

Wish I had a dollar for every time I've done that. I've finally learned that when I get sleepy I should not try to continue because I make stupid mistakes. Hey it only took 30 years to figure that out.

I think we have all done that at one time or another, so you're not alone. You have a gorgeous German Shepherd, they are my favorite dog. We've owned 2, one male named Kaiser, who was very smart, then we fell in love with a female Shepherd in a pet shop, named Tara (as in Holy Terror). Tara was a love, who was very protective of the entire family, unfortunately, we could never break her of chasing our two cats, despite obedience school. I still miss them both.

[QUOTE=MarionsQuilts;7119917]I'm birthing a quilt and I just sewed it all together and went to turn it inside right and realized I put the batting between the two layers ...

Time for a nap and then I'll take it all apart ... SHHEEESHHHHH[/QUO
I've done that, and more than once! I was teaching a niece who had never sewn, so we started with a simple potholder using that birthing method. And I put the thermal batting between the layers, had her sew it & turn it, well you can realize how much my teaching impressed her! LOL I said it was an example of what not to do so it would be more impressive-LOL
