Since you have the other pink fabrics, could you do pinwheels with white and the various pinks to alternate with some of your current pinwheels?
I also like the idea of making the white background smaller and adding more borders around the centerpiece.
Or you could make small pinwheels of the pinks and white to form a an inner border between the trimmed down center and the pinwheels with the light yellow. Think a narrow border separating each section if you do that would be good.

I think it's the butter yellow that doesn't pair well with the brights. I hate to say it, but starting fresh around the panel might be the best.

Tea dye the ballerina?? That would minimize the contrast.

when you get to the quilting, use yellow thread in a dense-ish design to minimize the stark white

so many great suggestions...if you were to cut down the ballerina and border that w/ the yellow dot (gives you both white and yellow in that step), swap out the warm toned wheels and replace with pink/white (to inject some white at the borders) and then use yellow thread to quilt the center panel..everything would play very nicely then. seems the solution is more white not so much less yellow particularly if you use yellow thread to quilt the back-ground..cross-hatched diamonds maybe...could use utility stitch for that in a perle cotton so the color will show up more. its really cute!

You need more white like everyone says. The center panel doesn't match the rest of the quilt.

I find the striped pinwheels distracting. I like the yellow and white backgrounds together. I think if you replace the strip with a fabric that reads solid, put a pink border around the ballerina and a white than pink borders on the outside, to would be wonderful.

    I agree with this suggestion.

I like the ballerina on white - I like the pinwheels with the yellow - I don't like them together.

If you have more yellow - make more pinwheels and make that into a quilt - without the ballerina.

That ballerina is sooooo cute!! I agree with others that you should add a small border of the yellow with white polka dots. Audition before you cut. Then decide.
