    etsy as in eatsy beetsy spider went up the water spout. hee hee, regionally I bet most say itsee bitsee spider.....

    I've never heard anything except the short e (eh). Etsy as in Betsy is how I say it, so it MUST be right! LOL

    I've heard it that way in t.v. and they can't be wrong! or can they? Someone on t.v. today kept calling a man Mario and would say mary O. grrrr. poor man.

    Well now I had to go get my books out to look and the name of our book is Itsy Bitsy Spider, nothing to do with eatsy beetsy......

    I say like Betsy without the B.

    I hear so many mispronounced words now days, I wonder if any one ever had them look in a dictionary. I was taught pronunciation straight out of the dictionary in the 50s.

    I call it Etsy like Betsy... but we are all just guessing. Ask on the Etsy site if you really want to know.
