    I agree with bearisgray - the squares seem to float on top of the gray so I would choose that.

    Since they play well together, I would use a triple sashing with cornerstones. That way you get the best of both worlds.

    Not a huge fan of brown, so my vote goes to the gray. However, I do like the idea of using brown for cornerstones.

    On first glance, the brown makes the colors pop. Babies see contrast and shapes before color, but grey is more trendy and modern. That said, I think I'd do grey sashing with brown cornerstones and use a light patterned print as the backing.

    Gray is certainly the more"modern" and current favorite with young mothers.
