Using it for applique is great as well. Have fun with it!
I have felted wool and made garments for myself. It makes up really well and if you choose, you don't have to finish the edges because once the wool is felted, it won't ravel.

I'll pass on one hint I learned when felting wool. Do it on a nice day so you can open the doors and windows or go to the laundromat. Wet wool stinks!! If you are washing and drying yardage, it really stinks. It can take a while to get rid of the odor.

Ckcowl, Your wool pieces are beautiful especially the snowman block. What a great use of negative spaces! I will try to remember it to use on my next wool project!

Visit Primitive Gatherings; Sue Spargo; Wool Works; Missie Carpenter. There are many more ( wool quilting) places, those are ones I turn to often. Once there check out more of their links if you would like. Also if you (Pinterest) just search --wool Quilts. Tons of inspiration.
Heres a couple of my wool quilt projects.
Do you mix cotton with wool? I want to do pillows with cotton or flannel and wool pennies.
