I really prefer the black. For some reason the purple takes away from the cats ( to me anyway). I don't think it's a bad choice but I like the black better.
    I LOVE your quilt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really like both of them.

Know what you mean about sewing on the black. Black thread and black fabric makes me feel like I am blind especially at night..
I remember my Mom many years ago saying that. Me being a young teenager with perfect eyes thought she was being dramatic. Now I know what she meant.

The black - the purple draws attention to the purple cats and the black paw print lets each one shine like the star it is.

I like the purple one better.

I think the paw print is distracting because that print is not used anywhere else in that top.

(I love the paw print - I probably have some of it somewhere in my stash!)

Cat paws! The purple looks too much like it was made by a beginner who decided that everything had to match, but the cat paws looks like someone who has a creative streak took control of the design -- and that's you!

I LOVE the first one! It's a bit subtle, but does the job of separating. It's beautiful! I'm going to have to remember to try something like this. Thanks for posting it.

I love the cat paws best. It's going to be a GREAT quilt either way you go with it.
