Spaghetti sauce jars are usually a quart and too much for us to use at one time. I put the leftover in a pint canning jar and freeze in the jar. Canning jars can be used for freezing. Easy to thaw too.

Jo Ann, put left over sauces in jelly jars to vacuum seal to keep in the fridge/freezer. A jelly jar should fit in a large mouth canning jar, to use as a canister, to seal the small jar. I save as many small jars as possible to do just as you want to do. If you find smaller baby food jars, you might be able to stack 2 in the quart jar to seal both at the same time.

So agree Jeanne S. This is not the place to save money.
