    I did go ahead and sew down the edges. I just felt so done with it and wanted to skip it and in my heart I knew what to do. I ended up using thread to match the appliqued pieces. But, the comment about invisible thread got me to thinking. Poly thread could also get caught on toes or fingers also. Should baby quilts only use cotton thread?
