I'm doing the Cuts and Bolts mystery so won't be trying this one. Plus the Bonnie Hunter mystery is swamping me with 2-1/2" blocks -- don't need any more in my life right now! But I will check this thread and be a cheerleader for you.

I don’t want to commit more time to mystery quilts, other than this short time frame one at Merry Mayhem. Each year I use it as part of my comfort quilt donation.

I enjoy seeing the clues released each hour, regardless of whether I'm making it or not. I think this mystery is so aptly named!

I'm going to do this mystery but not scrappy. I don't have the time or patience to cut scraps for the amount of 2.5" squares. I decided late yesterday I have lots to do to try to be ready for Wednesday.

Same with me except I make the Cuts and Bolts NYE one. I really like her designs. She has a Super Bowl game Day mystery as well.

Wow! Not sure what size you are making, but lots more pieces than me!

I’m doing the Twin size, but yeah, the number of HST to make was daunting, even with Thangles. I’m glad we got this clue in advance so that this will be done and we’ll be ready for the fun part—putting together the mystery block—on New Year’s!

I so want to do this mystery. I need to select out my 2.5” from my swapping stash. I do not think I will be all caught up on the pre-sewing clues, but I will try to have enough to do 2-4 blocks so I can see the layout pattern. Then I can use this project as a beginner and ender project over the next few months. I also want/need to enlarge the width measurement. My twin size quilts are great for show, but needs more inches when being used. People do have a tendency to row over and want to be covered. Lol.

I have found 2 NYE mysteries or sew a longs and 3-4 NYD mystery sew a longs. So This year I will be copying or saving the clues along the way for most of them. (Stitche’. Heaven with rob and Taffine; cuts and bolts; winter night = you tube [weekly, started today]; Scrap Dash; Merry Mayhem; And FMQing with Cindy Roth = internet, need to sign up. I do plan to sew along with Merry Mayhem and do the live watching QAL with Taffine.

Unexpected family member here for 2 weeks over the holidays. So decision. Quilting or being with family member I haven’t seen in 5 years. Oh, course family won out.
