Nothing more than copying the directions. Just returned from my New Year's Eve celebration about noon today. Like seeing your photos everyone.

I finished part 6 and made one of 24 part 7 blocks. I need a break. I'm getting tired and it's getting complicated. Glad I'm only doing nap size. Pictures to follow.

Wow - some seriously committed mystery quilters here! I knew I wasn't going to be doing the quilt right away but liked the idea of simple squares/HSTs for a potential project for some of my scraps down the road some day. I love the variety of fabrics being shown in your prepwork photos, and having seen JanieW's approach has me thinking of a more controlled version as well. Thanks for sharing pictures, all and good luck and happy New Year to you, too!

It's crazy that I can say this from seeing only tiny HSTs, but I have the same teddy bears on light blue fabric... :-) Funny what the eye picks up, isn't it?

Hi everyone, hope you managed to get to a good point today before stopping? I did the Nap size, and lucky for me our guild was doing a zoom so that kept me company while I stitched. I worked from 7-4 with only a 1/2 hour break for lunch, stitched the final seam just as the zoom was ending.
I am deciding on my borders now, as I used whatever chunks of batik I had, my borders will probably be different than what she designed. here is the top without the borders.

I bow to @thimblebug6000 —that looks stunning! And @Gemm oh my gosh, fabric twinsie—that’s from one of the first quilts I ever made, and still the fabric lingers in my supplies, being used in dribs and drabs here and there.

It is now getting late, I have a trip tomorrow, and I am sadly calling it quits. I’m going to print the other clues, but I’ll have to tackle them next week. I think I bit off more than I could chew if I wanted to make this a one-day thing. Maybe next year I’ll do the crib size!

Here’s where I left off, though I’ll come back and show my next steps as I complete them. This was such a fun day!

Looking good! Like I said…good thing my guild was doing an all day zoom to keep me company! Look forward to seeing your project as you progress!
