LOVE your quilt top!
If you use maybe a solid color binding I think it would be OK.
I probably would not use this one if you are planning to do the backing that wraps around to the front of the quilt.
Like you I'm not quite satisfied with it, but not completely OH NO! with it either

I think it's a very good choice. Makes the quilt not be so gender specific. I can see a girly girl and the tough guy both liking the quilt colors and patterns. It's a great quilt choice of pattern and fabric for a raffle.

I think the backing would be fine. What I'm seeing on my screen, is the top lighter squares were done with a lighter green fabric that is in your dark fabric. But, the backing green color is also in the dark block. I'll be fine!! :D :D No worries!

Thank you everybody for your kind words and encouragement. After lunch will iron and pin it and quilt it in the next couple of days. Why does things always have to happen so that there is no big blocks of time just sit and quilt? Will post pics after I am done

How bad does it really look? I have no idea why I thought the other type of design would go? What do you think? It is going to be raffled off, so I was really hoping to do a good job and something I would be proud of. please help... my family is good at telling me how wonderful everything looks but I think they are bias. Sorry for being so long winded. Thanks Beth
