Thank you everybody. I'm my own worst critic I guess. I guess it's not as bad as I had thought. I hope you all are right and that Nikki likes it. (Ruffles and all!)

Ok, if I'm reading you right, you think it shrank up to much? If your stitches were tight it will cause more of a draw up, but it doesn't look to be to tight on the back. It really looks wonderful. Sometimes they will wave at you because of different fabrics, different batting, sometimes from not pressing well, sometimes just because there are different types of cotton, and well, sometimes just because they are happy you put them together.

They are so pretty, they'll be loved and washed a lot, so don't be so critical of yourself. You enjoyed making them, right?

I don't think there's anything wrong with them. Quilting will always make them a little smaller. However, if you back them with flannel it's very hard to quilt them straight without a walking foot for SID or a darning foot for free motion. Even then flannel has a tendency to go sideways on you once in awhile. This is just a suggestion for the future. There is nothing wrong with either of your projects and she will love them.

They look great and I agree that we quilters are often our own biggest critics

Oh Yes! I love all the bright colors and I think the dogs are cute. Nikki is having a boy so dogs seemed a good idea.

Both are beautiful projects! Great job on the quilting! The diaper changing pad is too cute to be putting a baby's butt on it even though that's the use for it! Both will get a lot of use and be greatly appreciated!
