I love this quilt! I've not quilted anything yet, so I don't have an opinion about that, but I love the colors/design!

Great ideas, all. Keep them coming!
I'm glad you like the quilt. I had fun making it, little by little.
Here's how I did it (was a magazine pattern):
6 inch fabric square (fun to collect them, and raid my stash for pieces to cut into), cut the square in half diagonally, making 2 triangles.
The strips were 1 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches each. I used mostly solids, but a few prints were "snuck" in for fun.
I sewed each half of the triangle to the strip.
After pressing, the blocks were trimmed to 5 1/2 inch squares.
When I laid the blocks out, I tried to be completely random, but I did switch blocks to avoid having center strips of the same color, to avoid having too many solids blocks together, or to avoid too much light or dark in a particular area. But really, I kept it very random.

Beautiful and colorful quilt. I would use a cream color quilting thread, this color will not take away from all the wonderful colors you have in your quilt.
The meandering idea sounds great. maybe do a little practice on some other pieces first, to see how you like the paper designed patterns.

One thing you could do if you were up for a bit of a challenge is to "echo quilt" the triangles. That would make the strips in the centers pop. Just use your 1/4 foot and let the outside of the foot follow the ditch. I did that with a quilt that had a similar pattern. (granted it was a smaller quilt) I loved how it looked. :) It's alot of turning the quilt, but worth it in the end.

That is beautiful! I think I would use a verigated thread. I've never tried the stick on quilting paper. Let us know if you like it!

Can't advise you on the quilting part as that is NOT my favorite thing to do either. BUT, I must say - BEAUTIFUL quilt!
