Now this is just what I have been thinking about, I have used the pritt stick several times for holding applique in place when needle turning, but it is wide and clumsy, I know that Sharon Schambers using a fine point so I just did a quick google and look what I found, follow this link!

Now I am thinking you can get any pva glue and use this bottle and fine tip to add just a little dot....hmmm what do you all think? :D

Just have a read on the tips and techniques page, lots of good info, I am defo going to order one of these

It said Elmers was washable. Is it stuff like Gloy? (Shows how long ago my school days are! lol). And, just in case, has anyone had horrible experiences using glue? You want me to mail you a bottle? It's cheap the postage sending would probably be more. But then you could see what it's like and I am sure they have something similar over there it's just called something different.

Elomer's, and other "washable" school glues, will dissolve in room temperature water, does not have to be overly hot.

OK thanks for all the advice everyone I will def. try and get some and see how I get on. Just finished a baby's cot quilt and definitely feel a bit twitchy without a project on the go - oh no, am I going thru "cold turkey"! Think I might try some place mats, then it's not such a big deal if it all goes a bit sticky on me!
