    Tension on a machine is a difficult thing for me to figure out and I think most manual were not written by someone who sews. My understanding with free motion quilting was that your tensions should be at 0. I must be terribly misinformed because that is not what you all seem to be talking about. So the steps for machine quilting are:
    Feed dogs down, Width at neutral and length at 0. Tension for top stitch at..... whatever looks good?
    Sounds like I don't know what I am doing!! lol
